Dispatcher

Overview: The Dispatcher is a key operations link between Lew Thompson, Professional drivers, and our customers.
This position works to track and direct a group of experienced professional drivers, provide excellent customer relations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and other tasks as directed.
This is an entry level role.
Responsibilities: · Provide excellent customer relations · Ensure safety and regulatory compliance · Implement cost initiatives · Review the shift turnover from the previous shift and take the required action, including involving other managers and customers as necessary.
Fleet Management duties may include: · Track and trace the trucks throughout the shift.
· Maintain positive and productive communication with drivers to deliver on time, prevent service failures, and reduce turnover.
· Receive ETAs and PTAs and manage throughout the shift.
· Receive confirmations of load assignments.
· Monitor MPG & idle time.
· Slip seat equipment as necessary.
Customer Service duties may include: · Monitor and trace loads so that follow up can be made to customers regarding late pickups and or deliveries, as well as any other load changes that may occur.
· Anticipate and facilitate problem resolution on load issues to meet or exceed total satisfaction of customers.
Qualifications: · Knowledge of DOT regulations and Driver HOS · Excellent interpersonal and organization skills · Ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environment · Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Products · Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised 1+ Experience in Transportation industry preferred High school diploma required Competitive Compensation Lew Thompson compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company.
The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $64,480.
00 - $95,559.
