JOB DESCRIPTION Supervise the aggregate of the production and packaging segment of the business.
Area of responsibility includes and is not limited to cheese making, sanitation, packaging of finished goods, targets are met in both production and packaging, and repair/maintenance is performed as or when needed.
These responsibilities are to be executed with the idea to maximize resources and opportunities while minimizing or avoiding threats to the business.
Responsible for providing supervisory coverage for production and packaging department(s).
Oversee the performance of the department(s) while focusing on Cost, Quality, Safety and Employee Environment Communicate and interact effectively with the department personnel, Plant Manager, all departments, plants, support services and all levels of management to ensure the smooth operation of the process Coordinate and monitor scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing Supervise employees to meet performance expectations by providing strong leadership, decision-making and coaching Support and achieve budget requirements established by the Department, Operations, and Plant Manager Complete all assigned paperwork, including but not limited to, production/packaging records, Master Cleaning Sanitation Lists, schedules, accident reports and investigations, and any other paperwork deemed necessary Coordinate and conduct employee training (i.
e.
job, safety, audit, etc.
) and monitor work performance Coach, counsel and discipline employees in a fair and consistent manner in accordance with the Company’s policies, procedures and work rules Promote the plant’s safety programs and policies in order to reduce employee accidents and injuries by providing safety training and enforcing safety practices at all times Enforce the Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and constantly ensure the quality of the product See Physical Demands for weight requirements Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary and/or needed Write and implement SOPs, SSOPs, policies, procedures for the plant and see that they are being followed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS BS in Dairy Science, Food Science, or a related field; one to three years of supervisory experience in a food production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience Working knowledge of computer programs (i.
e.
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP etc.
) Ability to define programs, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to lead, influence and motivate people Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to work flexible hours Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management and organizational skills EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Saputo Cheese USA Inc.

Salary Range: $66,030 to $86,665 Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills and training.
