Summary The Maintenance Technician II position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements High School or GED equivalent preferred A minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience Strong hydraulic, pheumatic, mechanical and industrial skills, with basic understanding of PLC’s and HVAC Experience with electronic systems troubleshooting required Able to troubleshoot and repair fire suppression systems Experience with Bindery and Finishing Equipment is a plus Able to lift 40 pounds without restriction Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization Support and meet company/department goals and core values Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals Working Conditions Must be able to perform the essential job duties.
Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb.
In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
