Based in Hanford, CA, the IC&E Technician will provide support for a project fleet consisting of four facilities: the Hanford Peaker Plant, a 97 MW simple cycle plant located in Hanford, CA; the Tracy Power Project, a 330 MW combined cycle plant located in Tracy, CA; the Henrietta Peaker Plant, a 96 MW simple cycle plant located in Lemoore, CA; and the Malaga Power Facility, a 96 MW simple cycle plant located in Malaga, CA.
Opportunity Summary The Instrumentation Control and Electrical (IC&E) Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all instruments, control systems and electrical equipment in the power plant and the associated facilities.
The IC&E Technician performs work of high skill in the inspection repair, testing, adjustment, installation and removal of all electronic and electrical power plant equipment and systems.

/ Reliability functions in the Condition Based Maintenance protocol.
Primary Functions Perform preventive maintenance duties on all major equipment and systems as well as emergency backup systems Maintain complete equipment files, logs, and drawings for all designated equipment Forecast, inventory, and reorder spare parts to maintain plant reliability Participate in the administrative maintenance of the plant operating manuals, technical references, prints and diagrams and preventive/predictive maintenance records Inspect repair, install and remove all types of motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, and storage batteries, and work with electrical systems up to and including 4160 volts Conduct troubleshooting and analysis on DCS, PLC and related turbine control equipment Complete the required periodic calibration and maintenance of the Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEMs) equipment Provide vibration and reliability technical support; utilize current technology to find machinery defects early enough to schedule repairs during planned down time Utilize vibration, infrared, ultrasonic technology for reliability routes Analyze data taken during the above routes to find machinery defects and put in work requests to have them repaired Complete other tasks as requested by the Tracy Maintenance Superintendent NAES Safe Safety is a core value of NAES and as a condition of employment, all employees are expected to be mentally alert and work safely at all times.

There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
Fitness for Duty All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program.
This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.
Work Schedule This position offers a 4-day,10-hour shift, in a California alternative work schedule.
Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with the possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, workload and plant conditions.
"On call" status will periodically be required.
Travel as required to support additional NAES power plants with the San Joaquin Energy portfolio.
Compensation The initial hourly rate of pay will range from $36.
