Summary
The Quality and EHS Manager will execute the Lindsay Quality strategy that achieves industry-leading customer experience metrics and delivers the Brand Promise to customers.
The individual will succeed by developing a high-performance team and implementing robust quality processes within Lindsay Manufacturing.
This starts with ensuring the quality and reliability of all new products being developed.
Then developing systems and processes to assure a high level of quality is upheld throughout the process from raw materials to finished goods.
The position will also lead the environmental health and safety initiatives for Lindsay by establishing programs and objectives.
Essential Functions of the Job: Develops and maintains quality standards and quality management systems to assure our products meet required specifications, standards, and systems.
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality program designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards.
Provide quality support in the development of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
Performs quality engineering reviews of process design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
Develops innovative approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Designs and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
Serve as Management Representative during certification audits.
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
Collect and analyze production samples to evaluate quality issues and investigate these issues for better quality.
Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
Stop production if serious product defects are present.
Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsible for environmental and safety planning, implementation, inspections & recommendations, and training.
Drive culture to ensure all employees are working safely and working in a safe environment.
Strategizing and implementing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs.
Establish systems to assure consistent supplier quality improvements, including Internal and External Corrective and Preventive Actions Assure smooth engineering changes and new product introduction from the quality perspective.
Work with warehouse and the manufacturing facility teams to solve any Quality Issues Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year College or University) in Quality Management or relevant field Experience: Minimum of 5 years in leading quality and EHS organization and at least 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing programs to comply with CAL-OSHA and other agencies.
Skills: Ability to establish strong relationships with both customers and fellow employees through the highest level of professionalism, ethics, integrity, mutual respect, and value-added approach.
Effective communication and writing skills.
Strong analytical skill and hand-on problem solver.
Ability to analyze and interpret data to take decisions and report results.
Promote process improvement.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Conduct with integrity and within the company core values frame.
Collaborator who also possesses the independence of thought and opinion to provide candor and honesty when making key recommendations and decisions.
