Who We Are:
Quality Scales Unlimited is the largest independent weighing equipment company in California and we are growing! Our company is committed to delivering the highest-quality, technically superior scale service in the industry.
To support our continued growth, we are seeking all levels of Field Service Technicians.
Our purpose is to help businesses trade fairly and assure the quality of their products, or services, through the use of precise weighing equipment.
We value hard work, continuous self-improvement, respect, commitment, honesty and accountability.
We look for employees who would like to be part of our team long-term and grow with the company.
As a technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, calibration, repairs, and installations of electro-mechanical weighing equipment at customer facilities throughout Central and Southern California.
We serve all industries and work in a wide-variety of environments.
Our technicians primarily work outdoors, but can also be found inside laboratories or food processing facilities.
Our technicians work in confined spaces regularly, and sometimes from heights.
There is some out-of-town travel, but the work is primarily local.
This role will assist our Bakersfield office until December 2023 and then will work out of our Visalia office.
Travel between Visalia and Bakersfield will be paid.
The equipment we service can be as small as a lab balance, or as large as a 120'x10' vehicle scale.
Some scale systems are stand-alone while others can be connected to PLCs or other peripheral devices so we do some work with communications (analog output, RS-232, EtherNet/IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, etc.
).
Our technicians have mechanical and low-voltage electrical skills, and must work well independently and in small teams to get the job done.
No experience with weighing equipment or driving? No problem! We are looking for experienced, or aspiring technicians to join our team and grow with us.
We will provide commercial driving training if you do not have a CDL.
If you are mechanically inclined, are good at troubleshooting and solving problems, have a willingness to learn, and possess a positive attitude, we can provide training specific to the scale industry.
