Who We Are… McWane Plant & Industrial (MPI) in Exeter, CA is a recognized leader in water control products for water treatment, wastewater, high-volume agricultural and rural surface water delivery, hydro-power, and flood control management.
We are a leading provider of water control gates, valves, automated controls and accessories to these markets and key customers such as government agencies (water districts, utilities, flood control districts) and agricultural water users (growers, cooperatives).
MPI has one of the industry’s largest manufacturing operations where we fabricate, machine, and test our water control products based out of Exeter, California.

Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The EP Assembler assembles metal products used in canal gates either, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties: Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Removes small quantities of metal with hand held files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machine to assist in assembly operation.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies.
Placing and expediting requisitions for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Does other duties as assigned.
