The company specializes in the manufacturing of corrugated, corrugated plastic and wooden packaging used throughout the food industry.
The Dinuba, CA location of SeaCa Packaging, Inc.
is currently looking to add a qualified and experienced Plant Superintendent to our growing team.
*_Position Summary:_* The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Plant Operations Manager, direct the functions of the shipping and receiving, manufacturing, production and maintenance departments.
The plant superintendent will be responsible for preparing operation schedules and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications.
The Plant Superintendent will work with the Corporate Safety Director to meet all corporate safety goals and objectives.
The Plant Superintendent will coordinate and closely supervise the activities of workers engaged in all phases of plant operation.
*Must possess valid California state issued driver's license with clean driving record.
Candidate must provide MVR upon job offer.
* *A bilingual (English and Spanish) candidate is preferred.
* *_Essential Duties and Responsibilities: _* * Oversee all warehouse operations from Shipping & Receiving, Manufacturing, Production and Maintenance * Ensure a safe work environment and conduct safety awareness meetings * Ensure all work processes from shipping finished goods are managed to completion and properly performed and documented * Plan daily/weekly/monthly work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads * Manage inventory utilizing WMS * Manage inventory control process and cycle counting providing accurate updated data * Perform and guide team members of general housekeeping in the warehouse * Coach and train new and existing employees * Provide plant security checks * Establish and train on procedures, quality, sanitation and safe work practices * Create pick tickets, BOL’s etc as needed * Provide department status updates on shipments and orders to Plant Operations Manager * Oversee staging of product in a timely and efficient manner to ensure production is running to full capacity and avoid downtimes due to insufficient product flow * Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse at all times * Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee timecards, daily receipts,, or inspection results * Complete daily forklift inspection reports and maintain associated inspection records * Ensure timely scanning and uploading of information * Maintain confidentiality of personal information * Perform other duties as assigned based on company needs _*Qualifications: *_ * Understands inventory control, has past experience dispatching trucks, and the ability to perform cycle counts * Training and leadership experience is required * Positive, Energetic, enthusiastic team member who enjoys going the extra mile to please the customer * Maintain good working relationships with other production departments * Write periodic performance reviews for all reporting personnel * Audit quality decisions of material moving to salvage and production floor * Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; assist in safety training of employees; reports any potential hazards or accidents * Model good work attendance and work behaviors for core staff and trainees _*Position Requirements:*_ * High School Diploma or Equivalent * 5 years of experience working in a Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving environment * 3 years of supervisory experience * Working knowledge of material handling; familiarity with box equipment a plus * Ability to work in a team environment * Proficient computer skills to include ability to use organizational computer and emailing systems * Ability to operate industrial trucks such as forklift and scissor lift * Ability to work any day and/or shift including weekends and holiday as assigned * Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record * Forklift certification required – additional training provided (required) by SeaCa Packaging, Inc.

The manufacturing environment may include high levels of noise.
When working outdoors conditions can include extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated by the company.
Position requires standing, sitting, and walking on a regular basis for prolonged periods.
Near vison-ability to see details at close range.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Acute hearing is necessary for telephone and in-person communication with customers and fellow employees, and visual acuity sufficient to read a computer screen and paper documents.
*_Working Conditions_* This position typically functions in a business environment with occasional trips into the warehouse or offsite storage entities.
There will be exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, chemicals, heat/cold and allergens especially in warehouse environment.
