Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited, to: Manage Livestock Sales Team to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed company-set goals for the achievement of sales goals within assigned districts/regions.
Collaborate with Director of Sales to establish Sales and Margin goals for the Division.
Design sales programs for assigned team members in regards to both short and long-term sales strategies.
Evaluate appropriate new sales techniques and ensure its implementation to increase sales volume of the district/region.
Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales and margin goals.
Assist Sales Team with their techniques, forcasting, product descriptions, etc.
and make recommendations on product enhancements for improved sales potential.
In accordance with established Sales Plan, completes all customer goals/objectives while operating within a specified expense budget.
Review divisional expenses and recommed improvements.
Initiates sales process by scheduling customer appointments, and by maintaining an excellent understanding of customer needs, requirements, introducing new products and services, and preparing sales orders for assigned customer accounts.
Meets with customers as needed, to build and maintain necessary pro-active relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS The employee must have demonstrated experience and/or education as outlined below in order to satisfactorily perform the essential job duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications may include, but are not limited, to: Bachelor’s degree in related field, minimum of three (3) years previous experience in sales/marketing; Three (3) or more years previous experience in the Sales industry a plus but not required; or Any combination of experience, education, and training that will provide the level of knowledge, skills, and ability required for the job.
Proactive team-building and relationship building, including the ability to work individually and as a team member.
