This role will require working on Saturdays, some evening, and weekends on a rotating basis.
The Global Center Manager is responsible for implementing MCC’s mission within the MCC Global Center and its programming and services for the surrounding Central Valley Communities.
They directly supervise the Global Center Staff, and, in partnership with the Program Director, strategically develop Global Center programming that promotes greater engagement amongst the diverse populations in the Central Valley.
This position will contribute to the local team by building a stronger presence for MCC in Reedley, the Central Valley, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities Specific Tasks and Duties: 1.

Material Resource Center Coordination – 30% 3.

Administrative Management – 50% o Maintains the stability and reputation of the Global Center by complying with local and state safety requirements and MCC polices are by partnering with HR Coordinator to ensure all staff, volunteers, and customers are in a safe environment.
o Coordinates classes and events with the Global Center staff, quilting artists/teachers, local artists, community organizations and churches.
o Responsible for utilizing resources of the Global Center and allocation of resources toward the fulfillment of MCC’s mission; including fabric, supplies, kits, etc.
o Leads Global Center staff in maintaining of a monthly/quarterly schedule of all classes and events.
o Promotes all classes and events within the Reedley Community, churches, partners, and quilting guild and groups.
o Event Coordination – plans all events for the Global Center in conjunction with Global Center program staff and WC MCC staff o Staff/Volunteer Coordination: lead all efforts for volunteer training at the Global Center; assess what needs and support is needed for each person and provide specialized training as needed.
o Manage Global Center staff, including scheduling, time sheet approvals, professional development, and other managerial responsibilities o Identify opportunities for Global Center program development in conjunction with the WC MCC Program Director 2.
Material Resource Center Coordination – 30% • Coordinate and supervise the sorting, quality control and packing the material resource contributions.
• Compile accurate lists of donations and shipment contents.
Record material resources in Donor Perfect System for MCC records.
• Maintain stock of packing supplies required.
• Responsible for storing Quonset items in a neat and orderly fashion, organized for efficient container loading.
• Oversee the loading of containers for delivery to Akron, PA shipments.
• Train Global Center staff on necessary MRC policies and procedures • Recruit volunteers to help with packing, loading/unloading as needed and maintain a register of volunteers & volunteer hours.
• Send appreciation/thank you notes to donors.
• Attend monthly Material Resource Network meetings.

Community/Church Networking – 15% a.
Under the direction of the WC MCC Program Director, is responsible for outreach within the community by networking and building relationships with churches, quilting guilds, community organizations, retirement homes and schools to promote Global Center events and classes.

Represent the Global Center at community events, churches, quilting guilds, quilting camps, etc.
c.
Recruit volunteers, quilting instructors, local artist, and new partners for the Global Center.

Retail Operations – 5% a.
Assist with all aspects of merchandising, including promotions for the Global Center ordering materials for all classes, fabrics, displays and signage, including window and special features.

Coordinating the cost and receiving funds for all classes and events.

Other duties as assigned on a temporary basis Supervision: Supervises 3 staff members, and supervises all volunteers for the Global Center Travel expectations: Travel up to 10% locally, and on approved occasions nationally, or internationally Physical Activity/Demands: Occasionally ascending or descending stairs/ladders or the like.
• Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
• Occasionally light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
