SUMMARY: The Spray Ops Manager is responsible for supervising spray operations in the applications of chemicals and fertilizer to crops and performs spray operations tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Limoneira’s job descriptions describe the key areas of responsibility but do not attempt to describe all activities or areas of responsibility.

Run all field applications of Agri-Chemicals Responsible for field scout teams and programs Participates in annual fertilization and pest control session Execution of annual pest and foliar programs Run daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reports to other peers according to requirements Responsible for departmental budget Coordinates with Ranch Managers to execute programs Collect spraying information, develop a spreadsheet, and analyze data from information gathered for projects Establish pest threshold for applications use Responsible for conducting and interpreting all foliar fertility analyses.
Must comply with and enforce all Safety and Food Safety rules and regulations Other projects as deemed necessary by Management QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited agricultural or science program, or equivalent; must have PCA and QAL licenses; must have an understanding of Agri-chemicals and Chemistry of active ingredients; must have knowledge of equipment calibrations; must have two to three years field experience in Spray Operations; must have a valid California drivers’ license and be able to be insured by carrier.
