SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Operations with duties and responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Possesses full-delegated authority to serve as Acting Director of Operations in the absence of the Director of Operations
2.
Assists the Director of Operations in daily oversight of programs to meet compliance and performance goals.
3.
Oversees and provides strategic direction to the Marketing Team to ensure successful public affairs strategies.
4.
Engage with key stakeholders, policymakers, industry associations, community organizations, industry partners and other key stakeholders to advocate for the organization’s interest.
5.
Identify, develop, and implement strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and address organizational challenges by implementing the Baldrige strategies.
6.
Oversees and ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
7.
Analyzes the impact of legislative developments on the organization, communicate legislative updates and provides guidance in policy development.
8.
Acts as one of the organization's key public representatives in, professional meetings, public comment arenas, conferences, and other community activities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees.
Carriers out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or six years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law.
Must maintain a good driving record.
