*COW Bus Teacher* *Position Objective* To provide a holistic and positive learning environment to preschool aged children participating in our COW Bus program.
*Qualifications/Requirements* * Associates Degree in ECE or related field preferred OR comparable work experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish rapport with children and families from a variety of backgrounds.
* Ability to work independently with a strong sense of focus.
* A strong sense of and respect for confidentiality involving both clients and fellow employees * Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and provide own transportation with a clean driving record (CDL Preferred) * Ability and willingness to work in a nontraditional classroom environment * Good interpersonal, communication and documentation skills * Flexible scheduling required * First Aid and CPR * Knowledge of community resources * Intermediate computer skills including: Microsoft Office and Google Docs and data management systems * Experience with recruitment of program participants, volunteers, and community partners * Experience working with persons or families in crisis AND high-risk individuals preferred * Complete Nevada Law Enforcement background *Physical Demands* While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to communicate in person, by telephone, or online.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, jump, run, bend and be on the ground.
The employee occasionally must sit and/or drive for periods of time exceeding 45 minutes.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
*Essential Duties/Responsibilities* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

* Maintain responsibility for the learning and safety of up to 12 children at a time.
* Develop and nurture relationships with children and families.
* Plan, prepare and conduct lessons and activities to fulfill curriculum requirements.
* Conduct developmental assessments of the children.
* Adhere to the goals of the CCI and COW Bus team, as well as the vision statement.
* Collaborate with other CCI Youth Programs * Connect families with needed and available community resources.
* Track attendance and payments.
* Ability to work in a unique classroom environment: Our COW Bus stands for Classroom on Wheels and is a preschool housed on a converted school bus.
There are times when we have to get creative about heat, cooling, space and bathrooms.
It is an exciting challenge for the correct individual! * Maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality.
* Conduct program outreach when appropriate * Continuously work with fellow staff to promote excellence as a program, cohesion of service for clients, and to encourage teamwork * Participate in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, and organizational retreats.
* Adhere to agency policy, procedures and the professional code of ethics * Problem solve and multi task on a daily basis * Perform other duties as assigned *Status: *Full-time *Wages: DOE* *Benefits: *100% employer-paid health insurance after 90-day introductory period.
