POSITION:
We are currently seeking a full-time Driver who is responsible for the safe transportation of clients to and from treatment services.
The Driver will provide professional, amicable support for our clients throughout their transit, ensuring their experience is safe and enjoyable.
Reports to the Director of Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the well-being of clients and the integrity of the program.
Provide professional and personal customer service to our clients throughout the transportation process.
Ensure travel is both safe and comfortable.
Obey all state and federal driving laws, regulations and procedures.
Monitor traffic reports and weather conditions to allow for safe and timely transit.
Ensure clients’ identities and conversations remain confidential.
Ensure clients’ possessions remain with them and are not left in the vehicle.
Engage with clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
Complete all required travel, mileage and maintenance logs.
Ensure the vehicle remains clean and with proper fuel levels, fluid levels, and tire pressure.
Know, adhere to, and enforce all agency safety guidelines and policies.
Complete regular vehicle maintenance checks, maintain knowledge of proper use and care of the vehicle.
Schedule and oversee routine vehicle maintenance and necessary repairs.
Perform other activities as requested or needed by the agency, and assume other appropriate operational responsibilities as necessary.
Attend all required staff meetings and trainings.
Maintain confidentiality meeting requirements of HIPAA.
Maintain knowledge of and act in accordance with Balance Treatment Center mission and philosophy.
Maintain knowledge of and act in accordance with current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.
Demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid CA license with passenger endorsement.
1-year driving experience as professional driver is preferred.
Clean driving record.
Thorough understanding of all state and federal driving laws, regulations and procedures.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Punctual and reliable.
Reliability with regard to attendance is a vital part of our overall client experience and is critical for this position.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
Must be customer-service driven.
Must have a friendly and mindful demeanor with clean and professional presentation.
Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties.
