Feel free to make an offer.
Collection of 5 rare DWK project vehicles, along with a huge inventory of parts.
To clarify, this ad is for all the vehicles and all the associated DKW parts.
Everything must go.
The 5 vehicles are: 1953 DKW F91 Cabriolet VIN 64500013 1955 Sonderklasse 2-Door VIN 66561927 with CO title 1958 DKW Kombi Window Van VIN 22519477 1957 DKW Window 8 Seat Bus (curved rear corner windows) VIN 22508026 1958 DKW Window 8 Seat Bus (curved rear corner windows) VIN 22512196 with CA title Note the 3 vans are "windowed" vans, which are highly desirable.
And 2 of the windowed vans have curved glass in the rear corners, even more rare and valuable.
The 1953 F91 cabriolet for sale is 1-of a kind.
Due to its provenance, it could easily be worth six-figures when completed.
And even better, it would be the only one at a Concours d'Elegance.
Regarding this F91 cabriolet 4-Seater, it's from the 1st year of production in 1953.
According to Audi Tradition, this car was used as the display car at the 1953 Frankfurt International Auto Show and may be the oldest one in existence.
This is a quote from Audi's historical department via an email from several years ago (at the bottom of this listing is a link to photos of the documentation).
.
.
"This car is the eldest existing F 91 4 Seater convertible! It was built in March 13th, 1953 in Dusseldorf and sold to the Auto Union in Frankfurt.
There the Auto Union presented this car to the public at the "IAA" in March 1953, this is the International Automobile Exhibition.
Enclosed you find the historical data sheet on this car.
.
.
So your car is in the original condition (colour, etc.
).
It was never restored.
So it has a very interesting history.
What happened with it after IAA is not registered but it could be that an American dealer or client bought it directly at the Exhibition.
So it MUST be restored!!" And in the 1st week of September, 2021, I reached out to Audi Tradition for confirmation regarding this car's history.
The reply: "Dear Mr.
G, Thank you for your e-mail which has been forwarded to the Audi Corporate Archives.
On the basis of our records, we can confirm that the car with VIN 64500013 was one of several cars which were delivered to the International Automobile Exhibition in Frankfurt.
However, we cannot confirm that it was the first car of this type ever manufactured because there were several cars produced on the same day (and it is not the one with the lowest number).
.
.
.
Kind regards Dr.
Mathias Pfaffel Audi Tradition" With that said, it's clear this WAS the F91 4-Seater Convertible used for display at the Frankfurt International exhibition, but it cannot be confirmed that it was the 1st F91 off the production line.
However, based on the prior correspondence with Audi that I added above, "This car is the eldest existing F91 4-Seater Convertible.
" The Audi museum currently has a restored black/red F91 convertible on display, it's incredible (see the photo in the link).

There's also a folder documenting the parts inventory, along with a folder of documentation and a folder with photos of the vehicles in former ownership.

ms/f/s!AuY1ztrHSK3sl8NT7-1XR3e6yDqztA?e=wRsscn You can acquire an incredible collection of rare DKW projects.
There is also an original DKW Workshop Manual (in English), as well as several collectible vintage ads and brochures from the DKW era.
I don't know the last time any of the vehicles have been on the road and driven, etc.
The F91 Cabriolet, the 2-door coupe, the two vans with curved rear corner glass, along with all the parts have been out of the weather and stored in a shipping container during our ownership in the last 20 years or so.
We had plans to restore these vehicles, but life took over.
Now it's your chance to take a crack at these unique and valuable vehicles.
All the vehicles and parts are located near Visalia, CA.
You will need to make arrangements to have the vehicles and all parts removed from the property.
