*SUMMARY:*
The Project Engineer position is the starting point of a career path in project management.
From this position, the Project Engineer can work their way into a Project Manager position with additional upward possibilities.
As the Project Engineer you will work closely with our Project Managers to provide administrative and technical support.
This support may include preparation of action plans, schedule updates, procurement of materials, production of technical resource materials, and various forms of written documentation and communication.
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *
· Support Project Managers through administrative and project based technical support.
Including material take offs, purchasing assistance, schedule and labor projections, project onboarding and close outs
· Organize, scan and accurately file project documents
· Review project procurement activities.
· Work with Project Managers to reduce obstacles that might slow projects down.
· Organize data and update project information for accurate reporting.
· Ensure all documentation including contracts and other important written agreements are properly organized and stored.
· Update internal programs to reflect real-time data.
· Creation of technical drawings as required
*JOB REQUIREMENTS:*.
· Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with Contractors, Owners and Architects.
· Ability to learn new systems, including various computer systems for job costing and project management.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, ideally with a basic understanding of AutoCAD or similar drafting-based program.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
· High School graduate, preferably with some college and construction knowledge.
