The Customer Service Sales Associate will assist customers with all questions and needs in a timely and thorough manner, and provide A+ customer experience, always striving to exceed customer’s expectations.
This person will actively work the showroom floor to maintain a high level of merchandising, cleanliness, maintain inventory levels through restocking, and maintain up to date pricing and displays.
The primary function of this position is to provide excellent customer service on the showroom floor and at the register.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Sales Associate Greets customers and offers assistance as needed Customer service including discussing customer’s needs, making suggestions and product recommendations, and assisting customers in finding the correct/ needed products Reaches out to customers shopping the aisles of the showroom to ask if assistance can be provided, and extending offer of product support Provides A+ customer service to all customers who make contact Conducts sales transactions involving cash and charge sales Creates properly documented invoices through the use of assigned point of sale terminal Stock shelves within assigned aisles daily Stock additional showroom areas as needed Pulls inventory from the back stock in the warehouse to maintain stock in the showroom Maintains the integrity, merchandising, and cleanliness of assigned irrigation aisles in the showroom Cleans showroom and assigned aisles daily Cleans assigned register area daily Organizes stock or showroom shelves daily, including front and facing, and shifting product Remerchandises stock on showroom shelves as needed Maintains/ updates pricing tags on showroom floor Updates out of stock tags on the showroom floor including dates alerting customers of in-stock timeframes for irrigation products Regularly reviews the showroom’s product assortment and makes product assortment/ skew recommendations to the Lead Sales Associate and Op Center Supervisor to better meet customer’s needs Alerts the Lead Sales Associate and Supervisor when products are out of stock and require reorder Participates in cycle count processes and physical inventories as needed Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies through noted processes Maintains a need, organized, and safe workplace at all times Ability to be self-motivated, initiator, and be part of team who wants to succeed Manages attendance according to Company policy Minimum Educational and Experience Qualifications/Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent 3-5 years retail/ customer service experience Experience or exposure in the fields of agricultural sales, purchasing, light manufacturing, or other citrus production and processing Must have excellent customer service skills Effective time management skills Must be fast paced, highly energetic, a self-starter, and possess a positive attitude Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 pounds and handle bulky items; occasionally lift items up to 80 pounds Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) desirable Proof of American citizenship and/ or legal US work status Well what is this job really about?
