Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to project requirements
- Assemble and install framework, including walls, floors, and roofs
- Install windows, doors, and siding
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a framer or carpenter in the construction industry
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Knowledge of various framing techniques and materials
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes (if applicable)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
Note: Experience with restoring or remodeling projects, as well as knowledge of plastering, stucco, or siding installation is a plus.
