*Description:*

Laird Manufacturing’s premiere dealership in California.
You’ll be fabricating, welding, and providing occasional mechanical repairs for the industry’s leading cattle feeding equipment manufacturer.
*Responsibilities:*
*Must Haves:*
· Perform quality welding in multiple formats, including Stainless Steel & MIG, on metals including mild & hardened steel & stainless steel.
· Perform quality groove and fill in welds in various positions including horizontal, vertical & circular.
· Perform air-arcing, plasma cutting, grinding as necessary.
· Read and interpret prints & schematics to fabricate stainless steel wear parts & liners used in the service & maintenance of our OEM products.
· Keep tools and equipment in good working order
· Regular & predictable attendance
· Adhere to all company policies especially those concerning safety.
· Take responsibility for any re-work or corrections as necessary to ensure product meets spec.
· Work with hand and power tools to disassemble, repair and reassemble various implement components when needed.
*Desired but not required:*
· Dairy equipment experience
· Basic electronic troubleshooting & diagnostic
· Ability to work on simple hydraulics
· Bilingual – English, Spanish
*Qualifications*
· Previous welding experience in an Ag or industrial setting is an asset, but willing to train individuals with a strong background in hard metal welding & basic maintenance of farm equipment.
· 2-3 years of on the job welding experience.
· A respectful, positive attitude and disposition.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Analytical thinker with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
· Good organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Background in dairies or agriculture is a definite asset.
· Self-starter with a passion for working in the Ag industry, high energy, moderate pace.
· Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
· A valid driver’s license
*Working Conditions and Physical Requirements*
Manual dexterity required to lift and handle objects.
Exposure to elements such as noise, dust, oil, dairy feed etc.
Overtime will be required during peak periods
