*Job Summary*
As part of the production process, aid in the assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and product.
Expected to use a variety of tools and operating machines during the assembly process, including performing basic welding, soldering, and screwing parts together.
Pay increase after the first 90 days based on performance.
*Job Classification*
Non-exempt, hourly.
Eligible for overtime.
Job may be classified as full-time, part-time, or on-call dependent on company need and/or staffing requirements.
*Essential Functions*
· Ability to read blueprints.
· Knowledge of how to properly set up equipment for MIG welding.
· Know proper MIG welding techniques for good and even heat penetration.
· Assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and welding of parts, sub-assemblies, and modifications using a variety of tools and operating machines.
· Safely collect materials and equipment needed during the assembly process.
· Use appropriate tools and fixtures to assist with the installation of or complete the installation of parts, sub-assemblies, and modifications.
· Safely and accurately cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations as part of the fabrication / assembly process.
· Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces; take precision measurements.
· Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
· Understand and execute verbal instructions from manufacturing leadership regarding job orders to determine product specifications.
· Use all safety devices/tools to ensure safe operation of shop environment.
· Ensure work area is always kept clean and organized.
· Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
· Provide feedback to management concerning possible problem or areas of improvement.
· Participate in cross-training throughout manufacturing facility.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
