FullShift Staffing is seeking a passionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide school nursing care for children this 2023-2024 school year! School Nurses are responsible for providing medical assistance to school-age students, and they complete multiple tasks each day ranging from assessing minor injuries to requesting emergency services.
One of the great benefits to working for the school district is you will have all scheduled breaks off as the School District provides.
Schedule will depend on the school selected.
Location of positions: Fresno CA
Specific School Nurse job duties and responsibilities may include:
· Conducting student hearing and vision screenings
Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
Verifying vaccination records
Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected.
Administering first aid and CPR
Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises.
Contacting parents when students are ill or injured.
Minimum Requirements:
· California State Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
· Current CPR/BLS Card
· Current Negative TB Result
