Adventist Health Hanford, is one of four medical centers that forms Adventist Health in the Central Valley.
This medical center serves the communities of Kings County.
It provides the following care services: cancer, diabetes, emergency, cardiac catheterization lab, stroke, inpatient and outpatient surgery, orthopedics, and birthing services which includes a neonatal intensive care unit in partnership with Valley Children's Hospital.

Job Summary:
Responsible for daily anesthesia machine and related equipment maintenance.
Assists anesthesia staff with pressure line insertion procedures.
Maintains adequate anesthesia related supply inventory.
Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity.
Works under direct supervision within defined parameters.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Completion of medical terminology course: Preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting: Required
Licenses/Certifications:
Anesthesia Technician certification: Preferred
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
Knowledge of surgical equipment and hands on procedures: Required
Essential Functions:
Operates autoclaves and other cleaning equipment, in adherence with established policies.
Assembles pressure line insertion and monitoring supplies and equipment.
Assists physicians during line insertions.
Troubleshoots patient monitoring equipment intraoperatively.
Tests functionality, stock and calibrates patient monitoring equipment as needed on a daily basis, including capnography monitor equipment, emergency airway carts, laryngoscopes, blades and pediatric carts.
Works collaboratively with staff, supervisors and vendors to ensure product quality while minimizing costs.
Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters.
Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
