As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to safety excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations governing the trucking industry, including the FMCSA rules.
* Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
* Develop and deliver training programs to educate drivers and employees on safety regulations, defensive driving techniques, and emergency response procedures.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and prepare reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with drivers, management, and regulatory authorities to communicate safety initiatives and ensure compliance.
* Manage compliance with the Motor Carrier Safety (MSC) 150 program to ensure adherence to safety standards and requirements.
* Reinstate and maintain the authority required for interstate trucking operations.
* Renew trucks and trailers' license plates in a timely manner to ensure legal compliance.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve safety and compliance processes.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in safety and legal compliance within the trucking industry.
* In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to the trucking industry, including the FMCSA rules.
* Strong analytical skills to conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with drivers, management, and regulatory authorities.
* Proven track record in delivering safety training programs and conducting accident investigations.
* Familiarity with the MSC 150 program, authority reinstatement, and license plate renewal processes.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety requirements.
