Boswell Company planted in California’s San Joaquin Valley and grew to become one of the largest farmers in the world.
Boswell produces, processes and markets tomatoes and Pima cotton as well as rotation crops such as wheat and alfalfa.
Pistachios are also a significant crop that Boswell has been growing since about 2015.

*Position Summary * Refuel, lubricate and perform other daily maintenance on agricultural equipment and heavy machinery as necessary.
Record fuel/oil and other consumables used on handheld computer.
Perform oil/filter changes and other preventative maintenance on schedule.
Perform basic truck and equipment repairs.
Maintain truck and other equipment in clean and proper working order.
Report unsafe hazards on equipment and fuel storage facilities.
Transport and set up and remove irrigation pumps on field sites as needed.
Must be willing to perform any tasks assigned by supervisor when needed.
Adhere to all regulations as required by the company, DOT, CAL-OSHA, and all other relevant government, agency or authority.
Actively participate in the company’s safety program.

*Education and/or Experience *  High School Diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
 Must have a current valid California Class “A” Driver License, including HazMat, Air Brake, and Tanker Truck endorsements.
 Preferred to have knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and operation.
*Language Skills *  Must have basic ability to understand, speak, read and write in English.
 Ability to understand and speak Spanish can be helpful.
*Reasoning Ability *  Must be able to work as part of a team.
 Must be observant, organized and detailed oriented.
 Must function well in a fast-paced environment.

 The employee will be required to frequently sit, bend at waist, and twist at the neck/waist.
They must also be able to frequently simple grasp, power grasp, push/pull with their arms, and reach above/below their shoulders.
The employee will be required to occasionally walk, stand, bend at the neck, squat, climb, kneel, and repetitively use their hands.
 Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
 Must be able to pull fuel hose to 100ft max.
 Must be able to climb on and off different types of irrigation pumps and equipment as well as service truck.
