Class A Truck Driver/ Meat Hauler
Job Summary
Central Valley Meat Company is seeking Class A delivery drivers with customer service skills and a clean driving record.
Job Responsibilities:
Delivers meat for Central Valley Meat Company to customer's location of business.
Responsible to keep truck clean.
Listens to and resolves service complaints.
Completes a daily truck log and submits reports of mileage.
Observes and reports equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
Manages routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
Finds ways to conserve resources, including fuel.
Serves as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
Conducts daily inspections of the vehicle at the beginning and end of the shift and reports any problems or damage to the Shop Supervisor.
Drives truck over established route to dedicated customers.
Practices safe work methods at all times.
Responsible for overall maintenance of truck and regular servicing of vehicle.
Report improper loading of cargo.
Responsible for checking weights of load prior to leaving.
At the end of day submit to office driver’s daily log, records of deliveries, receipts, payments, and mechanical problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Valid class A CDL license with a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
2+ years’ commercial driving experience required.
Must be able to pass drug test and show proof of acceptable medical exam.
3 year DMV printout.
Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.
Can perform basic math calculations: addition, subtraction, division, & multiplication.
Can communicate and work effectively with co-workers.
Able to follow oral and written instructions.
Can read and write Basic English.
High school diploma/GED required.
Schedule:
Monday- Saturday (Some Sundays)
6:00am-6:00pm (times vary based on need)
Pay Scale: $20.
00-$25.
