*Job Title: CAD Technician/Mechanical Designer*
*Summary of Functions: *
The CAD Technician provides support to staff by performing a wide variety of design-related work.
The primary focus of work involves the development of CAD drawings, maintaining CAD file documentation, working with suppliers/customers and equipment fabricators, and supporting corporate and plant personnel during any part of the project cycle in the form of sketches, schematics, models, as builds, measurements, and communicating and addressing design concerns, possible solutions and opportunities for improvement.
*Primary Duties and Responsibilities: *
· *The day-to-day tasks include but not limited to: *
· Prepare drawing packages for fabrication.
· Construct process flow diagrams by interpreting facility process.
· Generate CAD base solutions based on direction of staff.
· Coordinate with customers to determine design concepts.
· Design and draft detailed construction drawings of site locations and site plans in a digital/electronic format from preliminary design drawings, field notes and/or verbal and written information.
· Ensure all drawings are formatted to company standards, including site plan and elevations.
· Have the ability to convert parts, equipment, buildings, and layouts from 2-D to 3D.
· Complete or assist with creating as-built documentation and updating related drawings and records.
· Communicate with people inside or outside the organization, representing the organization professionally to customers via writing, email, telephone or in-person.
· Review drawings for accuracy and completeness and make necessary revisions.
· Participate in project meetings as needed.
· Work closely with the Project Manager to track and manage life-cycle project: Define, Plan, Execute, and Close.
*Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:*
* Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety, and General Safety rules and regulations.
* Compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate food safety regulatory standards as well as company quality standards provided by facility, regional, and corporate quality authorities.
* Knowledge of Setton Pistachio’s Food Safety Management System and its application in a processing environment.
*Organization Relationships:*
* Reports to the Project Manager
*Qualifications:*
· Previous education, experience or training in AutoCAD / Inventor / Solid Works (minimum three years of experience).
· Previous CAD drawing experience in the engineering, architecture, construction or other disciplines
· Work should comply with facility and OSHA standards.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and coordinate/ follow-up with multiple priorities, while managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
· Ability to work with a high degree of problem solving and personal accountability.
*Physical Demands:*
· Physical effort with some lifting or pushing of equipment, supplies or materials (up to 50 pounds).
*Work Environment:*
* Be able to sit/stand and be outside in the elements.
· Have the physical ability and endurance to climb ladders and stairways, walk on platforms, catwalks, roots, etc.
· Be able to operate and control a boom lift, scissor lift and other equipment to get dimensions, as-builds or to complete tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.
00 - $30.
00 per hour
