Entry Level Bookkeeper

*Entry Level Bookkeeper* Welcome to Sierra Minit Mart, inc.
Convenience Stores and Gas Stations.
*Here’s who you will be reporting to:* Owners, Main Bookkeeper, District Manager, Store Manager and Loss Prevention.
*Here’s what you’ll be doing:* * Balancing the deposits to what is supposed to be deposited and complete the bank deposits.
* Balancing lotto Sales/ Payouts and Lottery (scratchers) inventories.
* Reconciling each shifts paperwork to review over/shorts in cash, EBT, Lotto.
* Balancing out the Bank/Petty Cash * Review Local Credit Accounts to make sure that amounts are put into the correct accounts- Reporting to Main Bookkeeper if there are any issues needing fixed.
* Completing the Daily Books- Processing the day, Invoices (merchandising and Fuel), Fuel Inventories etc.
* Completing a daily fuel survey- comparing the competitors’ prices to our prices.
Report findings to District Manager.
* Communicates to Store Manager and District Manager on all Variances- Cash, Bank, Deposits, and Lotto/Lottery.
* Communicates to Loss Prevention on shortages that need investigated.
* Communicates to Store Manager and District Manager on potential training opportunities to improve shortages.
*Here are the qualifications we’re looking for:* * Have Excellent verbal, written communication and follow-through skills.
* Must have great customer service skills.
* Possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, flexibility, thoroughness, confidentiality, and excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to multi-task and handle competing requests and timelines.
* Proficiency with Micros oft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Flexible team player who can execute quickly within a fast-paced and always changing environment.
